Question: How do I get a licence for this tool?

Answer: A minimum of 2 x 3 hours of training with tool responsible, unexperienced users may need more time for training.

Question: How long does a measurement take?

Answer: Depends on sample and scan size, normally 5-20 minutes.

Question: What is the resolution?

Answer: Atomic steps (about 1.5 Å) in the out-of-plane direction can easily be measured, the in-plane resolution mainly depends on cantilever radius.

Question: What type of cantilever shall I use?

Answer: There are many different types of cantilevers. It depends on the sample and what kind of information you want to obtain. Talk to tool responsible for advice.
